New regulations for MVHR filters: ISO16890
Since August 2018, the filter standard has changed. The quality of the filters is no longer indicated by G3, M5, or F7 but by the new ISO16890 classification. This new standard allows for a much better indication of the quality of MVHR filters, providing greater clarity for the customer. The new regulations specify the following values per filter:
- ISO Coarse - percentage of coarse dust that is captured by the filter
- ISO ePM1 - percentage of fine particulate matter ( < 1 µm ) that the filter captures
- ISO ePM2.5 - percentage of fine particulate matter ( < 2.5 µm ) that the filter captures
- ISO ePM10 - percentage of fine particulate matter ( < 10 µm ) that the filter captures
